Blue Skies Arts Camp 2026 – Workshop Descriptions
Please note: Campers of all ages are welcome at all workshops – no previous experience is required.
Fine Arts – Mixed Media with Emebet
Get ready for 5 days of awesome art fun! You’ll explore cool patterns, colours, and nature while making your own mixed media paintings, collages, and sculptures. We’ll use recycled paper, leaves, magazines, and even found objects to create amazing art just like famous artists do. Each day is a new adventure where you can paint, tear, glue and build while learning how art can show the beauty of the world. Come join us for hands-on activities and let your creativity shine!
Movement – Dance Fusion with Haley
Get ready to move, groove, and express yourself! Join Haley, an experienced professional dancer, for a fun and dynamic workshop that blends contemporary, jazz, and street-style influences. This welcoming class is designed for young dancers of all levels; whether you are brand new to dance or already have experience. Each day will include a guided warm-up, mini dance sequences, and across-the-floor movement. We will also work together to create a piece of choreography that evolves throughout the week. With a focus on creative exploration, self expression, and building confidence, this workshop encourages every dancer to shine in a supportive, upbeat environment!
Drama – Acting with Quinn
She’s back!!! Interested to explore the curious world of theatre and dramatic arts? Come-on and join us! Quinn is a passionate young thespian and all around jokester! Whether you are new to acting or looking to refine your talents, this welcoming and uplifting space will help you showcase your inner performer. Acting the Quinn Way is a fun and playful workshop that offers a little of everything– improvisation, character work, voice, movement and a small scene creation that will build confidence to “play” on stage. You will learn some of the acting essentials and performer techniques… there will be costumes too!
Arts – Animation With Josh
Get ready to imagine, create, and bring your ideas to life! Join Josh for an exciting arts-based workshop where students will explore the world of animation in a fun and creative environment. This welcoming experience is designed for learners of all levels—whether you’re brand new to animation or already love creating your own digital art. Each day will include guided lessons, hands-on creation time, and opportunities to experiment with different animation techniques. Students will work toward developing their own animated pieces while building skills in storytelling, creativity, and visual expression. With a focus on exploration, collaboration, and confidence-building, this workshop encourages every artist to share their unique ideas and watch them come alive!
Music – Singing & Songwriting with Aidan
Aidan is a local singer-songwriter, mainly in the traditional folk/bluegrass route. He is now performing with blue skies legend Teilhard Frost! In this workshop, campers will be singing traditional folk songs, and learning all about how these songs are structured. Campers will have choices as to what they would like to do during these songs – there will be options for singing, dancing, or even playing along with a guitar. Aidan’s music workshop will surely get you hootin’, hollering, and feet stompin’!
